What are the regulations to transfer credit in IGNOU?

The Application Form
Step 1 – Go to the official IGNOU website at www.ignou.ac.in In the tab at the top of the page, you’ll see the option Student Support, which you can choose.
Step 2 – When you choose the option Student Support, you’ll see a drop-down menu which you need to choose the option Downloads.
Step 3 – A new page will appear and you must select the option The Credit Transfer Scheme provided in the listing on the top.
Step 4 – The list of available programs be displayed in the scheme of credit transfers. Select the one that is suitable from this list.
Step 5 – When you choose the program from the dropdown the program will be displayed within a new tab.
Step 6 – The webpage that appears in a separate tab is an registration form that is required for the credit transfer plan for the chosen program. Download the application form, and then follow the directions in the form to fill it out.

IGNOU Internal Credit Transfer Scheme Fees
A fee for credit transfer of 500 rupees per course is payable through demand drafts that is drawn in favor the name of IGNOU and payable to New Delhi.
The price of the fee could differ in various situations, such as the amount of Rs. 1200 for credit that is greater than 4, if you’re making a fresh start within the first year of your enrollment, however it’s against the 1st semester and 2nd semester courses that were left over from the earlier registration.
The transfer of internal credits may occur only once per academic year. After the merger, students will be given one year to finish their remaining classes.
IGNOU External Credit Transfer
Credit transfer is the process of authorizing students from another university to be admitted into IGNOU for the purpose of completing any similar degree or diploma programme using the credits earned from that university.
The student who is admitted to IGNOU need not sit for IGNOU examinations for the courses that are deemed comparable to, and with the right credits be considered to have been obtained to the purpose of fulfilling IGNOU conditions for awarding an award of degree or diploma. Students who wish to take advantage of the transfer of credits must be apply fo the registration in IGNOU for the courses they wish to pursue.
Applications to avail credit transfer must be sent to the Registrar of Students Registration Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068. There will be no credit transfer option for CBCS programs based on the CBCS w.e.f. July session of 2019.
Fees
Once you will fill the form , you need to pay 250 in the form of demand draft at IGNOU, new Delhi.
You have to attest the marksheet as well as the syllabus which you have covered till yet in the last university. After submitting all the documents you have to wait at least 3 months as Ignou takes time to approve your document.
